The first event Arikuthucheral was an intimate family affair that involved loads of fun, dance and music where the elders and youngsters celebrated alike! Our handsome groom, Faris, made a grand entrance with his family and friends, as the elders sang a chain of self-composed wedding songs from the 1950s till date. Being an age-old tradition that hails from Thalassery, the crushing of the rice ceremony with an ‘Olaka’ in an ‘ural’ which translates into blessing of the to-be-weds, turned into a fun filled affair that involved men and woman alike. For the Mylanchi Thediveral ceremony, Faris’ nieces walked down the pathway with a thali filled with organic mehendi and sweets to begin the ritual. The Arikuthicheral ceremony boasted of song completions, dance performances and boisterous ramp walk competitions that concluded with winners bagging customized Coconut Trophies!
Channeling the charm of traditional Moroccan magic, the FaRizva Nikah was a subtle yet stunning affair! A true Sufi aura was created at the venue with hues of purple and gold. The honeycomb arabesque centerpiece decor radiated the lushness of the event. Faris was brought to his Nikah by Punjabi Dhols that spread contagious energy through every beat! Family and friends celebrated the joyous moment with familiar and novice dance moves! The ceremonial Nikah commenced spiritually with the Maulavi reciting verses from the Quran. Soon after the Mulakaath (hug between groom and bride’s father), the Nikaahnama (Marriage contract) was signed, solemnizing the wedding of Faris & Rizva. Right after the Nikah, Thaikkudam Bridge took the stage by storm. The Thalassery crowd sang and swayed along with the band to the beats of Fish Rock & more! On the other side of Thalassery, Rizva rejoiced her Nikah to Faris by adorning Mehendi on her hands to mark her union to her beloved. Family and friends joined in the ceremony and blessed the newlyweds.
The next day during an official meet and greet ceremony, renowned vocalist Janardhan Athri mesmerized the guests with his retro and ghazal numbers. The groom then set forth to bring home his new Bride in his Vintage Car, a 1928 model Vintage A-Bone Ford. An entourage of cars lead by dancing baraatis and Dhol Players left for the bride’s home. The groom is received by the bride’s family and an ensemble of 30 brass band players. The bride arrived in a cloth and crystal chaddar to exchange garlands and cut their wedding cake. The Thalassery guests celebrated the homecoming of Rizva in their own style, dancing, singing and teasing the newly-weds. As Faris͛s mom welcomed her new daughter in a ritualistic fashion, happiness and merriment embraced MC Enclave that night!
The grand wedding reception of FaRizva was an uber fun event. The venue was transformed overnight to suit a mystical garden theme. Ivy leaves, fresh green grapes, imported flowers, quilted crème walls and ceilings, warm lighted bamboo bird cages and an LED wall constituted the refreshing décor that went up that evening. Guests gaped at the all green Chuppah in amazement, clicking selfies with those hanging green grapes occasionally. FaRizva entered the venue with a dance procession of families and friends dancing to the peppy Arabic song ‘GuluGulu’ and slowly moved onto their first dance that was accentuated by cold pyro on all sides Following the ceremonial cake cutting, FaRizva’s families wished them good luck and reminisced their childhood endeavors. A flashback of all events was showcased in a nutshell by Keshav Films that relived the best moments through the FaRizva celebrations. Continuing the festivity, Sabareesh Prabhakar and his band – The Immortal Raga took over stage. The musical interactions and competitions floored the guests, making it one of the most magical and memorable events for them that night. The celebrations ended with a colorful display of fireworks!
Keshav Films enthralled the guests with the same day edit wedding video highlights with amazing drone shots of the wedding venue and the ceremony. Serendipitous Smiles and Wedding Cinemas photographed blissful moments from the celebrations.
